Harriet Myers and Sarah Palin

Posted by midcan5 On August - 29 - 2008

Is Sarah Palin John McCain’s Harriet Myers? What a curious choice, a nice woman, a soccer mom, governor of a state that is smaller than medium sized cities in terms of government, and a person who has no experience in national or international politics? The right went after Bush over Myers, they will not be able to do that today, a rather curious predicament. Experience can no longer be mentioned in this election by the republicans. A heartbeat away….

Sarah Palin on the Issues:

How many think this choice alone disqualifies John for the presidency? You think the republicans will impeach him this week?

“A vote for John McCain is a vote against Polar bears too.”

Experience ?

Posted by Silver On August - 29 - 2008

From the time Barack Obama was sworn in as a United State Senator, to the time he announced he was forming a Presidential exploratory committee, he logged 143 days of experience in the Senate. That’s how many days the Senate was actually in session and working, though he didn’t even show up even some of those days……

And THAT is the extent of BHO’s experience for the Oval Office……

So adding up everything….Obama has NO experience for the job…

He makes Sarah look like a seasoned pro for an Executive position

Great Convention, Dems!

Posted by cyborg On August - 27 - 2008

Hi, y’all out there!
I’d like to just say hello, and tell you I look forward to talking or debating ideas with any of you!
Today, I’m talking to Democrats/Liberals, and saying, I think your Convention is going GREAT! It looks just like the ones 4, 8, 12, etc years ago. People come out and throw bullcrap around,(sorry, it’s the most descriptive term) tell lies, and basicallly contradict what they said as little as a month ago. Michelle Obama says she loves America(that’s news), Hillary says she’s looking forward to Barack’s Health Care plan(I just heard a clip from 2 months ago, where she bashed it as a phony lie, she also says she thinks he’s ready to be Pres., and supports him(a little while back he was an inexperienced buffoon).

Well, at least Hillary, even when she was running, didn’t tell the TRUTH about Barack, that he’s a Chicago Machine Pol, not a Candidate of “Hope and Change”. I almost threw up my dinner last night, trying to watch more than a half hour of that Circus!
Where were the truthful speeches about how Barack was budy-buddy with a Crooked Real estate swindler, Tony Rezco, or is a member of a Virulent Racist “Hate-Whitey, Blame- Whitey” Church for 20 years, giving them $30,000?

Most importantly, for a man who would be President of the United States, where is the commentary on the report that will soon come out, about William Ayers, the DOMESTIC TERRORIST THAT BOMBED THE CAPITOL, THE PENTAGON, BANKS, AND FEDERAL BUILDINGS?
You know, the Buddy of Barack’s that he started a foundation with, chaired a board with, and, when Barack was running for office, SOUGHT OUT, WENT TO AYER’S HOME, AND KISSED HIS POLITICAL RING (and butt), to get his support?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm? Any Libs want to answer

a vote for John McCain….

“In the 1950s, about a million illegal abortions a year were performed in the U.S., and over a thousand women died each year as a result. Women who were victims of botched or unsanitary abortions came in desperation to hospital emergency wards, where some died of widespread abdominal infections. Many women who recovered from such infections found themselves sterile or chronically and painfully ill. The enormous emotional stress often lasted a long time.”

If McCain selects judicial appointments, property will win over rights, If Obama selects them it will be rights over property. If roe v wade is overturned we will return to a sad time when only the rich could get abortions for themselves and for their children. The poor will suffer as they always have with lack of access and quacks. No one will care for these children as wingnuts only want a theocracy of morals for others. Having a child is a long process and raising a child requires love, care, resources, and great patience. Wingnuts care not for people but for ideology.

“The secret world of illegal abortion was mostly frightening and expensive. Although there were skilled and dedicated laywomen and doctors who performed safe, illegal abortions, most illegal abortionists, doctors, and those who claimed to be doctors cared only about being well rewarded for their trouble. In the 1960s, abortionists often turned women away if they could not pay $1,000 or more in cash. Some male abortionists insisted on having sexual relations before the abortion.

Abortionists emphasized speed and their own protection. They often didn’t use anesthesia because it took too long for women to recover, and they wanted women out of the office as quickly as possible. Some abortionists were rough and sadistic. Almost no one took adequate precautions against hemorrhage or infection.”

A vote for John McCain is a vote against the fundamental principle of America, the right of the individual to lead their life privately without the government interfering.

Corporate Greed Condemns America

“In the 1950’s the American Dream became a reality. This was a time when a working man could support a family, own a house and maybe a new car, and send his kids to college. This was the dream of American GI’s, the people who risked their lives in World War II and saved the world for Democracy. It was what they thought about when they were spending those long, terrifying nights in muddy foxholes.

This was a time of economic balance in the country. Worker’s salaries were miniscule compared with today’s compensation packages, but a salary of less than $100 a week was enough for a person to buy a home and take care of his family. The house was probably a tract home, with four bedrooms, two baths, a yard and attached garage – nothing fancy, but a place the family could call home. It probably cost around $12,000 and the mere fact that you had a job meant you could qualify for a loan.”
